Account and data deletion

Last updated: 9 September 2026

You can delete your Factur account yourself, from within the app, without writing to us. Deletion erases your data from our servers and from your phone. It is permanent.

1. Delete your account from the app

Open Factur, then: Profile tab → Session section → “Delete my account”. You will be asked to type your account’s phone number to confirm.

Deletion is immediate: your data is erased from our servers, then the local database, your images (logo, signature) and the generated PDFs are erased from the phone. You are then signed out. There is no way to undo this — share or export any documents you want to keep before you start.

2. If you no longer have the app

Lost your phone, uninstalled the app? Send a request to contact@factur.tech with the subject “Account deletion”, stating the phone number linked to your account.

For your security we verify that you are the account holder: you will receive a confirmation code by SMS on that number. No deletion is carried out without this verification.

Once the request is confirmed, your account and synchronised data are deleted from our servers within 30 days at the latest. We send you a confirmation once it is done.

3. Uninstalling without deleting the account

Uninstalling the app erases the local database and the images left on the phone, but your account and synchronised data stay on our servers — you will find them again by signing back in. To erase everything, use the account deletion above BEFORE uninstalling.

If you use synchronisation, run one last sync before uninstalling, otherwise documents created offline will be lost.

4. What is deleted

  • Your account: phone number, name, email address if any, and the login tokens of your devices.
  • Your company details and logo.
  • Your customers, products and categories.
  • Your invoices, quotes and delivery notes, including document lines and stored signatures.
  • Your debts and recorded payments.
  • Invoices you shared by link or QR code: the links stop working immediately.
  • Your notification preferences and the history of notifications received.

5. What we keep, and why

We keep only what the law requires us to keep: the accounting records of your subscription payments (amount, date, transaction reference), for the applicable statutory retention period. They contain none of your business data.

Technical security logs may remain for a few weeks before automatic rotation; they are anonymised and cannot be used to re-identify you.

6. Effect on your subscription

Deleting your account ends your subscription. In accordance with our terms of use, amounts already paid are not refunded pro rata for the remaining period. Remember to export your documents before sending the request.

7. Your other rights

You may also request a copy of your data instead of its deletion. These rights, and the available remedies, are detailed in our privacy policy.
